Our district’s 5‑Year Environmental Education Plan reflects a long‑term, intentional commitment to environmental literacy that is embedded across our curriculum. Presented to and adopted by the Board of Education on May 6, 2026, the plan outlines a cohesive and developmentally appropriate approach to environmental education across grade levels and subject areas. Through this work, students are supported in developing the skills and habits of mind needed to think critically, solve complex problems, and understand their role as responsible members of a connected world.
The plan also establishes a clear foundation for innovative and experiential learning opportunities, including the thoughtful use of non‑traditional instructional spaces such as outdoor learning environments. Together, the 5‑Year Environmental Education Plan reflects a shared commitment to building meaningful environmental learning experiences that prepare students to be thoughtful problem solvers, emerging leaders, and responsible stewards of our environment through strong curriculum, instruction, and thoughtful use of our resources.

We are excited to bring this vision to life and invite our community to explore the plan and join us in supporting this important work for our students and our future.
