To anyone following the goals-setting process from outside, it may seem as if we are making slow progress. But we are crafting our goals the old-fshioned way--one step at a time.
At our last Board meeting, December 2, we not only looked again at the feedback received from our four workshops. We also reviewed some individual written thoughts from our individual perspectives as school board members: Diana Swinburne, Christine Foertsch, and myself shared some of our personal priorities in writing with our colleagues. I also shared a first draft of a compilation with the rest of the Board, and we discussed the possible goals written there. Ray O'Rourke volunteered to work on the writing of that, with the goal of getting a draft to all of us before the next meeting on December 16. So progress is being made. Stay tuned!
